Worship will do the following:
a) Provide for aids to worship - flowers, banners, ushers, candles.
b) Schedule elders to serve as liturgists for all services.
c) Provide for special services - Ash Wednesday, Maundy Thursday, Christmas Eve
d) Select families to light candles on the advent wreath
e) Have session approval for the celebration of the Lord's supper
f) Secure members to provide and prepare communion, and also schedule elders
to serve communion each month.
g) Oversee all aspects of the church music program, including that administered by
the director of music.
h) Provide hosts/hostesses for the weddings of non-members.
i) With session approval, invite and arrange for qualified persons to fill the pulpit
in the absence of the pastor.
j) Arrange for appropriate honorium for visiting guest ministers.
k) Deal with, as is appropriate, matters related to the corporate worship of the
congregation.
l) Oversee the training of members to serve as greeters and ushers.
m) Coordinate, with the pastor, home communion visits to shut-ins.
n) Arrange any prayer service in conjunction with the 'Hanging of the Greens.'
Decorate the sanctuary for Christmas and remove decorations afterward.
